 Not only have you taken care of my mom with her gallbladder and hernia surgery in 2020. On March 31st of 2022 Dr.Galloway removed my appendix and Now on June 7th of 2023 he removed my gallbladder. Dr. Galloway has assisted my family and I, as well as our extended family, on multiple occasions over the past 15 years. He repaired both my husband and my hernias, he pretty much saved my life when my appendix was rupturing and he also went above and beyond when our dear friend was diagnosed with Gall Bladder cancer. He helped us get her into the right hands of an excellent surgeon at Scripps Green Hospital. He is most definitely one of the very best general surgeons in San Diego county and he has the for sure the best bedside manner of any doctor/surgeon I have ever met. He also just assisted our family on a 2nd opinion today regarding our son. Just want to make sure you all know if you, your family member or a friend need a general surgeon, Gil is your guy. Trust me when I say, you can trust this man. I also like him very much as a person too as he is extremely knowledgeable and very kind.  Dr Galloway deserves all 5 of those stars and then some! He determines what your medical issue is and informs you about what he needs to do to take care of your issue and gets it done! He really is a professional in his field and I feel that he did save my with life with my particular surgery and he followed up on my recovery all 6 days while I was in the hospital in person…that included a Saturday and Sunday visit! I had faith in him from the first time I met him in the ER…he gets right to the point and gets things done! Many thanks to Dr Galloway and Dr Purgett and their staff and the staff at Scripps Encinitas for performing the successful major surgery on me a few months ago! You’re in good hands with Dr Galloway!

 I had my gallbladder removed. I experienced no pain during the procedure and during my recovery. I am out of surgery 6 days today. I am eating a normal diet and processing my food. I am healing quickly. I am thanking you Dr Galloway for your help. You are an amazing surgeon; and I thank God for for life and dedication. 

 Dr Galloway is awesome! I cancelled my first hernia repair surgery because the doctor gave off bad vibes and was super arrogant. Dr Galloway is laid back, informative and very comforting to all needs and concerns.

I was pretty nervous as I hadn't been under in 15 years or so and was not looking for a month of downtime with my hernia repair. Dr Galloway recommended an open surgery vs lap to basically guarantee no reoccurrence. He gave me the choice to go either way. The option was to have more recovery time. I went with the open, yeah recovery sucked but only had to take meds on Day 2. Everything else was completely bearable.

Had a concern with swelling on Day 3 which was a Saturday. Dr Galloway called me back at 8am on a Saturday and put my concerns to rest. That was awfully nice of him to do that.

Im on week 8 now. Everything went smooth and am basically back to normal.

If you have the opportunity to have Dr Galloway as you surgeon, you are in GREAT hands. 

 After eight years of trying to solve excruciating abdominal pain, exams and studies by 6 doctors of various specialties and 1 ineffectual surgery, I was fortunate to be referred to Dr Gil Galloway. Dr Galloway listened to my concerns and did not disregard my pain as several doctors before him had done. Following a painless laparoscopic surgery at The Well Medical Center, I have my life back! Dr Galloway was able to do what nobody else could or would do. I highly recommend Dr. Galloway and his excellent staff to all my family and friends. He's the best! 

 I took my girlfriend to the Scripps Emergency Room. Turns out she needed Emergency surgery. Dr. Galloway was assigned to her for next day surgery. We were really worried at the time but he made sure she was going to be okay. It was a fast surgery and even after the surgery he checked up on her. I'm very impressed how professional and friendly Dr. Galloway is. His staff back at his office are very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this amazing Surgeon. I like how accessible he is and to us that's important. You will definitely be in good hands with Dr. Galloway.
